Participate in national associations. The Council of State Administrators of Vocational Rehabilitation (CSAVR) and National Council of State Agencies for the Blind (NCSAB), as applicable. Both groups are membership organizations that have various committees and training that can be of benefit to you. This includes the CSAVR Leadership Forum.
These organizations are composed of people who were new to VR at one time or another. Connect with others to find that colleague to go to with questions.
Additionally, the National Rehabilitation Leadership Institute (NRLI) offers the opportunity for leaders in the public program of vocational rehabilitation to enrich their knowledge, skills, and understanding to meet the constantly changing needs and expectations of their consumers, employees, employers, and community partners.
