Data-based decision making is essential to delivering high-quality vocational rehabilitation services that help individuals with disabilities achieve meaningful employment and greater independence. The use of accurate, timely, and reliable data helps the State Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (SVRA) evaluate program performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and make informed decisions that strengthen services and outcomes for the individuals served.

A data-informed approach supports every level of the SVRA from policy and procedure development, and case management and service delivery, to program planning, resource allocation, and strategic partnerships as purposed by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Data-based decision making also enables staff and leadership to monitor progress, ensure compliance with Federal and State requirements, and focus on practices that enhance the customer experience and improve employment outcomes for program participants.
